Beginning to levy a fine of Rs.1000

Rajkot Municipal Commissioner Udit Agarwal had on April 12 issued a declaration on making masks mandatory in Rajkot and started levying fines of Rs 1,000 from those who went out without masks from April 13. After that, the state government instructed to collect a fine of Rs 200. At present, a fine of Rs 200 is levied.

In which an average of more than 100 people are exposed without masks every day. On May 26, 32 people from the East Zone, 56 from the Central Zone and 63 from the West Zone were arrested without masks. Drivers are reluctant to pay fines for levying fines. The Municipal Corporation of India (MCCI) has decided to issue e-memos as there are not enough amount to pay the fine in the driver's pocket. According to him, so far 397 people have been sent e-memos for not wearing masks.
