Amid the ongoing controversy over the Equal Line of Control (LAC), Indian intelligence agencies have recommended that the government block 52 mobile apps connected to China, including Tiktok and Zoom, or advise people to stop using them.

The list that agencies have sent to the government includes apps like UC Browser, Share It, Clean Master and Xander, as well as apps like Tikitok and the video conferencing app Zoom.
 A senior official said the proposal put forward by the agencies was also supported by the National Security Council Secretariat (NSCS). NSCS believes that Chinese apps could pose a threat to India’s security. The proposal is under discussion. The standard and associated risks of all mobile applications will be investigated.
In April this year, the Home Ministry issued an advisory on the use of the Chinese application Zoom on the proposal of the National Cyber ​​Security Agency CERT-IN (India’s Computer Emergency Response Team). India is not the first country to ban the use of zoom within the government. 
Earlier, Taiwan also banned government agencies from using the Zoom app. Germany and America have done the same. However, the Chinese company responded to the Home Ministry’s advisory by saying it was serious about protecting users.
