Testing by Indian doctors making the cheapest ventilator was also successful and cost only

Doctors at the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIMS) on Tuesday announced that they have successfully completed a trial of a low-cost portable ventilator 'Pran-Vayu'. A ventilator developed in collaboration with IIT Roorkee can be used for Kovid-19 patients. The ventilator is equipped with sophisticated technology and facilities to eliminate a variety of serious illnesses.
Control and inspection of the ventilator can be done wirelessly. The ventilator is designed in such a way that it can be used even in a temporary ICU without a compressed air supply. The team has made ventilators using all Indian devices under Made in India, thus greatly reducing the cost of ventilators. A close-loop ventilator machine can be made for just Rs 25,000.
“Prana Vayu” ventilators can be used for a variety of life-threatening medical conditions requiring a life support system. After a team of doctors tested the ventilator for a variety of simulated medical conditions, Aims Rishikesh found the ventilator useful for use in serious illnesses. , IIT Roorkee Professor Arup Kumar Das.
Giving details of the functions of the ventilator, IIT R Professor Akshay Dwivedi said that the automatic process of the machine controls the pressure and flow rate in the inhalation and acceleration line. In addition, the ventilator has feedback that can control the volume of the tide and breathe per minute.
"Pran-Vayu is specifically designed for the COVID-19 epidemic," Drivedi said. It is low cost, safe, reliable and can be produced quickly. We have successfully achieved the ventilation requirement on the lungs in the test, and it can be used for infants and adults as well. '
AIIMS Director Padma Shri Professor Ravikant pointed out that the global epidemic is on. This ventilator has been developed, and when there are not enough ventilators available for the treatment of corona patients and this collaborative achievement of AIIMS with IIT Roorkee will prove to be an undeniable boon to save the lives of patients with serious conditions. "This ventilator uses only indigenous components and can be a beacon for the government's Make in India campaign," said Prof Ajit K Chaturvedi, director, IIT Roorkee.
